The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight

In less than 48 hours Arizona could face a government shutdown as the backroom budget deal crafted by Republican legislators and Governor Brewer finds waning support on the Right and no support on the Left.

The backroom budget deal of course should go down in a ball of flames as it cuts education funding as well as essential services to those that can least afford it - our children, the disabled and the elderly. It increases taxes on Arizona's middle class while giving tax breaks to big business.

A government shutdown would equally have a devastating effect on Arizona working families and further cripple our state's economy.

Rest assured Arizona voters will well remember the Republican Gang that Couldn't Shoot Straight come election time... until then it looks like no matter what happens - we all lose.
